Online regional dialogue: Women’s Leadership in the context of COVID-19 in the Arab States Region

UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States in partnership with the Arab Women Parliamentarians' Network for Equality (Ra’edat) will host a regional Dialogue on women’s leadership in the Arab states region in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking place on Thursday 25 June from 10:00 AM to 12:40 PM Cairo time (GMT+2), the discussion will focus on women's leaders' experiences, challenges, priorities and solutions in the COVID-19 response and recovery plans, citing examples from the Arab States region. Registration for the event is free of charge and can be completed here

Good practices and recommendations emanating from the Dialogue will be consolidated and disseminated among participants and key networks engaged in the response including governments, the broader civil society and the international community.

The regional Dialogue is envisioned as a first step towards creating virtual regional platforms to give visibility to women’s leadership and solutions to the COVID-19 response and recovery plans across the region.

Please see the concept note and agenda here.

Only registered participants will be able to access the online discussion. Register here.
